Looked at New Age, but that didn't seem quite right. Then, way back in the corner was the shelf called reference, and it turns out that's where the writing books hang out. And I finally felt more or less at home. The categories on the back of those books included both writing and self-help. Is this where my book will live? Stay tuned.
